Metro and Light rail transport overhead line power supply equipment

Modern cabinets of contact circuit are meant for operation in traction network system both in tunnel and depot.

They serve for reception and distribution of traction network electric energy.

Distinctive features:
  • high reliability;
  • decrease of overall dimensions and weight;
  • maintenance convenience;
  • reduction of time for maintenance;
  • reduction of fire possibility.
Power part is made with application of maintenance-free contact joints technology.

Protection level is IP 54.

Disconnectors EST 4000 (Germany) are applied in this equipment. They have unique design of contact system with double disconnection and self-stripping contacts which allow to connect power circuits to busbars without mechanical efforts (disconnectors description see above). Crimp closing principle (non-breaking) excludes mechanical loads upon disconnector closing. Disconnectors have noiseless electric drive with power of 18 W. Application of disconnectors with servodrives, controlled by automatics system, excludes human factor and decreases risk of equipment damage in case of wrong actions of men.

Exclusion of ingress of dust into equipment at IP54 protection level decreases operational costs for maintenance, increases operation reliability. This solution sufficiently increases fire safety of switchgears.

Switchgear Series for Tunnel consists of:
